BROAD’s Open Access Policy

  1. Objective

The primary objective of BROAD journals is to disseminate high-quality scholarly research to a global audience, fostering the free exchange of knowledge and promoting academic collaboration. To achieve this goal, BROAD journals adhere to an Open Access policy, ensuring that research articles are freely accessible to the public without any barriers to access.

  1. Types of Content Covered

This Open Access policy applies to all original research articles, reviews, and other scholarly contributions published in BROAD journals.

  1. Licensing and Copyright

Authors are required to grant BROAD journals a non-exclusive license to publish their work. To facilitate open access, authors are encouraged to choose a Creative Commons license, such as CC BY (Creative Commons Attribution), which allows others to copy, distribute, and display the work, as long as proper attribution is given to the author(s).

  1. Publication Charges

To support the sustainability of open access publishing, BROAD journals require reasonable article processing charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts. However, the ability to pay should not be a barrier to publication, and BROAD follows a four-tier APC structure for authors.

  1. Archiving and Preservation

BROAD journals are committed to preserving and archiving all published content. The journal uses recognized digital preservation systems to ensure the long-term accessibility of articles. BROAD is a member of CrossRef, CrossCheck, OPEN, ETHICS®, DOAPS, ARCHIVING®, and PubQual™.
